DAY OF CARING

will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from

9 AM - 12 noon!

Mark your calendars for the Kick off Breakfast which will be at the American Legion, Post #5, starting at 7:45 AM. 

 

DOC 2016 was a huge success!

A BIG thank you to all of the 125 volunteers who made it possible.  We gleaned, cleaned, sorted, organized, painted, built and pruned at 12 different sites during 2 days!

Day of Caring is the largest day of volunteering in Windham County each year!

Thanks to Doug Emery at the ELKS and Lisa Pitcher at Our Place Drop-In Center for hosting kick-off breakfasts!  Thanks to George Ruhe for being our great photographer!

2016 Day of Caring project sites included:

  • Bellows Falls – Our Place Drop-in Center

  • Brattleboro - Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center; Brattleboro Area Hospice Memorial Garden; Groundworks Drop-In Center; The Family Garden; Brooks Memorial Library, Brattleboro Little League Field, Camp Waubanong, and Winston Prouty Center for Child Development.

  • Dummerston – Windham Child Care Association’s Bookmobile

  • Westminster – Vermont Foodbank
